Nah, it's actually the episode right after his Gym Battle with Jasmine. Though the technically first arrive in Olivine before the Gym Battle with Chuck.

What I always found sad about Bulbasaur and Squirtle in Johto is that they felt like afterthoughts. Ash never uses them in any of his Johto Gym battles despite having Squirtle for 2 and Bulbasaur for SIX OF THEM. In fact outside of his eighth badge (and Noctowl for the 4th) he only uses some variation of Pikachu, Chikarita/Bayleef, and Cyndaquil, and even in the eighth battle he still uses Pikachu and OG Cyndaquil like the first badge. At least Squirtle gets to head out here so it's not too bad but why did the writers have him keep Bulbasaur for 3/4th of his journey if it wasn't gonna contribute anything? I get they want to push Gen II, but if Squirtle was going to leave 2 episodes after his battle with Bugsy and Bulbasaur in the immediate next episode after Jasmine, why not have them take Pikachu's place in the preceding gym battle as a send off. Charizard got that at least. And that's not even mentioning how Totodile and Phanpy got shafted. It's things like this that makes you realize why they started having Ash dump his party after every region.

Low key one of my favorite Johto episodes. My favorite part is when Staryu blasts Psyduck into the flames. I like to think of it as Stary's revenge for Psyduck stealing 90% of its screen time.
