Ah, the filler frustration. I went through the same when I first played this. Not helped by the ambiguity of who is speaking. Honestly, I prefer the anime solely for toning down most of these club game moments. The sound effects did start to drown you out especially towards the end, maybe turn them down in the Options if you can? I'm looking forward to the next Higurashi video!
