EDIT: I know about the footage being too quiet in places - it'll be fixed before it goes public.

This started out as just a rushed out thoughts video and then it got bigger... and bigger... @.@

So, surprise! A bold new journey out of nowhere! XD

Fun fact: since this movie is apparently PG-13(honestly hard to imagine a Pokémon movie to ever have that rating) that means that if they wanted to, they’re allowed to use the F bomb once

As well as the audio (which you bring up) there is a place where the line is very abruptly cut off at 0:19. I'm not sure if it was intended, but it doesn't sound like it! The first time I saw the pictures for this movie, I knew I'd hate it. Then I saw the start of the trailer, and I was a bit crepeed out, but decided to at least watch and see how much hatred was deserved. ..... and then more, and more, and more, I *wanted* to hate it, but I *couldn't*. It kept making me laugh. It kept intriguing me. It kept making me go "Ooooo!". It kept making me actually want to know the story. I think this is the first time I didn't only go into something *expecting* to hate it, but actively *planning* to hate it, and yet coming out feeling not only hyped to see it (because I'm often hyped for things I hate; I enjoy trainwrecks!) but honest to God *hopeful* for it. They appear to have some good chemistry. And yes, I'm aware that trailers are *meant* to suck you in and not give the whole story, but this one feels more genuine somehow.

Female Mr Mime can be explained by localization. The Pokemon's name is "Barrier" in Japanese...I sure someone has told you that before, I'm just mentioning it again because I don't find people trying wrap their mind around that fact to be funny anymore. Anyway, thanks for a thoughts video that actually has some research behind it. I'm sure I missed more, but the only ones I've seen are from Mother's Basement and Gnoggin.

If you make more videos like this in the future, maybe instead of calling them "Quick Journey" you could call them "Quick Detours".

You broke my heart with the Robin Williams as Professor Oak fact. So I'm leaving this timeline in order to find the one where that's a thing.

Was the audio in some parts taken out for Copyright Reasons? It just felt a bit weird. Also, in the scene with Pikachu and Tim walking down the Market Place, there's a guy using Charmander's Tale to help cook, thought you might have enjoyed that.

Ditto on the Robin Williams as Prof Oak. That shot right to the feels. Also, as someone who played the game, I have to say the shining point of the game is that you get a lot of examples of how Pokemon exist in the world outside of battling. Machamp movers, talent show duets with trainers and their 'mons, zoo parades, research facilities with the Pokemon helping (not being experimented on). It's fascinating! ...but unfortunately the only real high point. Other than that, the game is a low key interactive book. (Although if the movie follows the game, then there will be one pretty major plot point that explains -why- this takes place in the Pokemon world.)

I love it. You pretty much summed up my thoughts on the whole thing.

You included 47 Robin when you mentioned good movies? Well, glad to see you and I are holding strong despite it only having a 13% on Rotten Tomatoes! Speaking of which, if this movie gets more than a 50% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, I’ll call it a success. I can count on one hand the number of video game adaptations that have cleared that threshold.

Its weird I feel like the only person in the world who think Pikachu it's self looks... weird/off/nightmarish. The eyes just kinda... are on the bad side of the uncanny valley for me. Like they are made of glass, and they belong to some creepy doll more then a living creature. Jigglypuff's eyes on the other hand... scratch that it's whole face, reminds me of the stereotypical gray alien specially with the lack of nose. - which I actually find more amusing.
