A butterfly sanctuary in South Texas accused of "human trafficking" by redpilled lunatics. We spoke to Marianna Treviño-Wright, the head of the privately owned, non-profit National Butterfly Center about the unhinged confrontations on her property and how it all started with a government plan to "build the wall". On team redpill, we've got a cast of awful characters including Pennsylvania congressional candidate Kimberly Lowe and Brian Kolfage, the grifter behind an organization called "We Build The Wall".

Thank you for unlocking that story, it’s useful for some of the anti-fascist work in my area. And above all thanks for all of your research!

As a butterfly scientist and conservationist (in Ireland) thankyou for covering this case and unlocking it to the public so more can hear about it. Nature conservationists have to be made of tough stuff as we face daily challenges from the many individuals and companies who stand to gain from the destruction of nature. I will admit I was not expecting Qanon loonies to be one of those challenges. Jakes outburst mirrors my exact feelings. I will be donating to the NBC and hope to be able to visit one day. Thankyou again.

Because of the poor pronunciation on this Ep, I am now the administrator of REPUBLICUM.COM. You’re welcome.

It is March 12, 2022, at 5:41 am and I believe I have now heard everything. What a time to be alive.

Legit bummer of an episode. When it was reported the center had closed due to all of that nonsense I felt immediately depressed for this country. We really won't allow ourselves to have anything nice.

This article from Australia may provide some hope:

Seriously. Just a sweet lady making the world a little nicer with her butterflies, and they just couldn't stop themselves.

Thanks Joe. And there's also this heart-warming tale from The Nation of citizen activists triumphing over QA: The Town That QAnon Nearly Swallowed https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/sequim-qanon/

In a weird way, this was such a heartwarming episode. That last bit just highlights what a tragedy them bring driven off that land really is.

Jon Adams

This is so depressing. Listening to how even the cops were either scared or pilled.

This was an important episode because it clearly illustrated that there are real world consequences to the actions of these online MAGA/QAnon grifters and their larping minions. I was so mad, I sent the Butterfly Sanctuary some $$. Hopefully they can come back strong once all this nonsense is over.
