A movie on Netflix and 11 years hosting a show on Australian TV. Pete Evans has slipped down an 8-year-long rabbit hole that started with activated almonds and ended in Neo-nazi memes and dramatic goodbyes to his massive Facebook fan base. Lucy Valentine of the Boonta Vista podcast is our guest — she recently wrote an article for Logically on this very subject.

Fyi, the chief police episode is why I subscribe. The "we don need rockets" statement was worth a million dollars.

Great Ep! Been waiting for Paleo Pete to be skewered outside these shores. But the comments on comments on AU politics late in the Ep were just lazy and eye-rolling. I could go on forever - but all you need to know is our current ‘conservative

‘Conservative’ govt is eye-watering to the left of US Dems.

And now with a new outbreak in Sydney he's telling his FB followers (yep still on there) to NOT get tested.

Crazy that you are talking about Pete, since I have been streaming Masterchef Australia on Tubi for the past couple of days (I love cooking competitions). He was a guest chef for a challenge in the first season (2009 was a different world). So I've only just heard about him. It's unforunate this is the kind of person he's end up as a decade later.

Btw Robert Kennedy had something happen to him that made his voice that way. I believe it is spasmodic dysphonia.

I grew up with the same rhetoric basically but surrounding different diets when one of my parents got really sold on the idea food could cure cancer. It's amazing how little the wording has changed. It was "new" information that would "change modern Healthcare" back in the early 90s as well. And back in the 70s. And so forth. Yuck.

I remember the "love and light" stuff since the late 90's with the modern hippie Rainbow Gathering people. Lots of old timey racists inside that world. It's jarring to see it inside of a culture that eschews concepts like money.
