Good morning fairies 🧚

Last year Rhiannon Hargadon, author of the dark fantasy book series "queens of Moirai" hired me, to bring her main character Morena to life with my photography!

I just shared a few of the images on instagram, here's a collection of photos I didn't post there , enjoy!🫶🏼

Part two coming soon!✨

In the follwing , I will share a bit more about this shoot with you, let me know if that's interesting for you to have a bit more insight in my shoots, and if you'd like to see more of that it the future 🤍

Working with an author

This was my first time working with an author, and I was so excited for it! I felt really honoured since I love reading so much, and shooting for a book was literally the coolest thing EVER. Rhiannon was easy to work with, she gave me a few instructions about Morena's appearance and the whole setting the book is written in. She also sent me a pdf file of the whole book, so I read a couple of chapters to get into it ☺️ I would've loved to read the whole book before the shoot, but I had a strict deadline since the author wanted the photos ready on Halloween.

Finding the right location

From the beginning, I knew that I wanted to shoot at a cemetery since the main character portrays "death" itself. Well, shooting at a cemetery is not that easy, because first of all, you don't want to be disrespectful and second not all cemeteries allow you to shoot there. After hours of researching and searching for historical cemeteries, I finally found this one via google maps 😂✨ it was literally perfect and it was used as a public space, sometimes they would even have a small orchestra play there. I also saw that a few other photographers have shot there before which is a good sign. Luckily the location was even better in person!

Ich freu mich über Hintergrundinfos! Finde es spannend die Geschichten und vielleicht auch Hindernisse bis es zu den Bildern kam zu lesen. So was bekommt man ja nie wirklich mit 🥰
