Our Life 2: Step 1 Promo Piece! (Sketch) (Patreon)

Today we have a fun look into the very cute promo piece we're making for Step 1! So precious.

It's a little hard to make promos for a game like this, with two main leads and multiple time periods to show off, haha. Ultimately, I decided to have fully separate images for each Step, but with the each character and the BG all on their own layers. This way it'll be possible to arrange larger group images with multiple time periods together (think the logo up top and then a smaller scale row of the characters in each Step along bottom), have these close up versions with just one time period, and make promo images that only feature one of the LIs. I think that's gonna work out much better than having a single image with everything crammed together and that can only be presented a one set way like we did with most of Cove's promo images. 

And if that sounds confusing, it'll hopefully make more sense once we have completed promo pieces from multiple time periods and I can actually show you the mixing/matching designs.
