Ok, if they killed Benny for giving El a burger and fries but let Chief Hooper live and placed him back at his house after breaking into their lab! That makes no sense. They must have a plan to use him for something. And what the hell was Nancy thinking, hey I just watch a wounded deer get dragged into a hole in a tree. Let me crawl in there and find out what going on. Great Idea! she didn't even take the gun; Jonathan still had it.

Dustin is absolutely my favorite character. I was at a comic con digging through comics once and Gaten Matarazzo, the kid who plays him, stepped up next to me and he started talking comics for a while we shopped. He’s a lot like Dustin in real life. lol

A guy that runs a diner is expendable and was a witness that came in contact with and spoke to Eleven, not because he fed her. They don’t know how much she told him. They were hoping to catch her and that be the end of it. At that point Will hadn’t disappeared yet and they were just after El. One death was no big deal. But now there is Benny, Barb has gone missing, a supposed dead kid that started a search that they had to cover up with a dummy, plus El being loose, a dead chief of police that is investigating everything added to the mix would go way past drawing too much outside attention. Plus, they are hoping Hopper can give them more info, or at least let slip what he knows since he had followed breadcrumbs linking them to everything. That’s why they bugged his house. They are trying to track El and need to know what he is up to. He’s more useful alive collecting clues for them.
