So as a preface, this is the biggest geek event yet in my country IIRC

With attendance numbers surpassing 30k+ people. It was hectic, busy, but also fun!

This is my Circle's booth, sadly you won't even find me because i'm the one taking pics lol :p

We prepped the display design for months and when we had to actually assemble one on the spot, the tables were uneven, and we miscalculated the amount of display fence lol.

I didn't make many merch this time because i'm outta funds, so i'm just bringing my old stocks, print the new Hololive vintage set, and reprint the tarot card.

Which, surprisingly managed to sold out in day one??? Some A3-sized poster of mine also sold out, and managed to sell the artbook down to the last copy.

Personally, i think this is the best one i've had yet in terms of selling the stuffs, and people still looking for the Tarot card set on day 2. However, as a circle, we made less than the previous Con, yet somehow nobody was feeling down, everyone was reflecting on what we're lacking during this Con.

So we're planning to do a portfolio review, so even our least experienced circle members could grow even better and stronger, and in a way, nurturing the circle as a whole.

It wasn't all fun and stuff sadly, some dumbass decided to bring their cat to the event, that are filled with tons of attendees. The cat got lost in the sea of humans, i'm just glad that the staff were quick to react and evacuate the cat to the lost and found, the poor kitty prolly got really scared.

Cat troubles didn't end there sadly, there's also other attendee that bring their cat inside astronaut bag (idk the actual name)

And let me give you a bit piece of info, about how hot it is currently in Southeast Asia Countries

Please my friends, don't bring your precious non-human family members to events like this 🙏

Oh yeah! There's also a case of the creator got kinda mad that their books didn't sell, and they already printed a ton. They end up giving it all away on 2nd day.

Everyone be saying that this is a kind of "Rite of Passage" for creators trying to sell in a Con for the first time, that you should never print more than 10 pcs if it's your first time with no marketing skills or online presence.

Honestly this is what i'm really afraid of when the time comes for me to sell a doujin comic myself haha 🥲

I'm scared shitless whenever the time for Comic Frontier comes, hell i'm scared shitless whenever i gotta make a beeg decisions lol, but then again, who isn't? amirite?

There are stories about certain Frieren cosplayer however, asking if there are any stands or stalls that sells a Haruhi doujin, Fern cosplayer then replied "Miss Frieren, there are only mostly Blue Archive and Hoyoverse doujin currently, no one knows about that series you're looking for." *Cues flashback "Hero Himmel used to buy a lot of Asahina Mikuru doujin"

Oh yeah if you know about Bushiroad, the CEO himself, Takaaki Kidani is also attending the event. Well, because there's also Bushiroad Expo during the duration of the event as well, but i never thought that the boss man himself was making rounds around the event, visiting various stalls and game booths.

He's really fun and friendly guy, one of the booth employee even managed to do this act of buffoonery with him lol

The booth employee said that it was his lifelong dream to choke Kidani, definitely not because he mad at Kidani for EOS'd Love Live mobile game as soon as it launched.

I didn't manage to go around the venue because i was busy attending the booth, so i couldn't get much pic.

I do attend the Hololive Karaoke event during the 2nd day, nearing the closing time, it was so much fun watching and seeing Ayunda Risu and Pavolia Reine sing and chat with us!

This is the only thing that i definitely don't want to miss lol.

That is all the report from me for Comic Frontier 18.

I'm planning to finish the comic "Erika Won't Back Down" at least in June or July, so Erika can be ready to make a debut here in my country. I'm fucking scared tho lol, fr fr. The deadline is 6 months left. I hope i can make it without sacrificing other stuffs so much.

This has been SakiYume, over and out!

Thanks for reading!
