Vanessa Lenen is an immunologist for Health For Humanity, at times, working alongside Olivia Overmark. She is a brilliant researcher whose work informs both the World Health Organization and Center For Disease Control. She is adaptable, able to get the job done with whatever tools she has access to. She thrives on being on the front line collecting samples and doing analysis on the spot, while at the same time preparing samples to ship to better equipped labs.

Despite her prominence in her field she is a little shy around others; a loner in some ways. She enjoys getting out into the surroundings of wherever she is working, often alone, where she will take in the scenery or, perhaps, enjoy a skinnydip and some sunbathing. She’s more comfortable at a picnic rather than at a dance club, in a ball hat rather than a cocktail dress. She is friendly and easy to get along with, so her team enjoys having her be a part of it.
