PENTAGON was third overall but fifth in this round, which I think as also the case for their other SHINE + Spring Snow performance. Kino was upset because they seem to not connect with the audience considering the results (they only had good results when voting was within groups and with their collab - to be fair other perf was for themselves but also had backlash as some people felt it was opportunistic) so that probably, so he is wondering what he has been missing while creating and executing the performance, while Hui has accepted the result but also knows that they did great and has no regrets. To be honest I think the live singing actually brings them down, as it sounds messy. The place has terrrible acustic too and people have impossible expectations of perftect vocals while literally dying on stage. Both ONF and PENTAGON had a lot on the line as they had no win and not much sales growth at the time (Dr Bebe not withstanding) despite being active for long and older members (Hui going to the military today uff). I loved the performances this round, especially ONF, The Boys and PTG. ONEUS as well, the vocal sounded really good. I think it was difficult for me as they all showed something very different from one another. I hate the eliminations, all teams did so well, I loved both Golden Child and TOO - while that is how competition work, I think this could have been done a lot better, as shown in Queendom. RTK really was traumatizing for no reason.

So!!!!!! Man, TBZ performance... just stunning. And yea, you were right that Haknyeon struggled during produce with being a slow learner, on top of being painted as some sort of disney villain because of mnet’s tragic editing. In the Shangri-la cover, Both Kevin and Younghoon are injured, hence why there’s so few moments with them. As for Chanhee’s shining light in the center during the bridge- this is hilarious to say, but, when you pointed out his pink hair, I was thrown back in time to when anti’s accused the boyz of cheating. Because Chanhee had pink hair. 🤦🏻 In the clip of the tree branch blooming, several of tbz had to have two branches for the sequence, and unfortunately, Juyeon couldn’t find the bloomed branch. You can see it if you watch fancams of the performance, their branches were thrown haphazardly and one got lost. So he had to take the place further in the line with his bare branch, and it stressed him out horribly due to his perfectionist nature. He always strives to do his best, and it was horrible to watch him breakdown over a mistake (that most people didn’t even catch!) but, it’s the honest performer in him. He was afraid that his “mistake” would cost them their win.
