Yea if you're not expecting it to be a parody it might be off putting, but if you know and if you're a big Weird Al fan it's great, though the budget was clearly pretty weak. My favorite part is Al freaking out about Michael Jackson parodying him. The idea of them making it so that Eat It came first was brilliant, the fact they had people actually wondering if it was true is beyond hysterical. I also love that in real life he met Madonna once and they turned that into an epic love affair.

Lol, finally finished watch it, lol I found Weird Al at a point in my life when I felt I needed to listen to something distracting like that (I think maybe junior year of high school) and then I followed his career for years. So, this was hilarious and just his style. I first researched Weird Al’s story after listening to the song Albuquerque because I wanted to see if any of that actually happened and that’s what this movie reminded me of My two favorite weird Al songs are Amish Paradise (which actually led me to liking Gangstas Paradise a lot despite it being outside of what I usually listen to) and Everything You Know Is Wrong so I really liked how things like his fathers Amish background were woven into creating the songs in this movie
