Oh I love the Rudolph shirt on Midnight that's. Fantastic Am I just crazy, or do I remember you making the Pie family Jewish? I absolutely don't want to stereotype or be insensitive or anything, and I'm not super familiar with Channukah and Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah and the likes, but for some reason I think I remember you drawing Cheese Sandwich in a yamaka? You show a lot of diversity in your NextGen cast which is awesome, so I was wondering what extent religion plays into the Panverse. (I imagine Celestia is somewhat of a God/Goddess, and Luna too of course, but is there a basis for anything else or just Hearth's Warming/Christmas? Might be interesting to imagine, though I have no idea how you'd go about it.)

Iiiiiiii do not remember drawing that. I went with christmas colors here to help get across in a glance that the bear is indeed a holiday present, as there's no quick visual shorthand/color palette for the pony equivalent, hearth's warming day. I'm not at all opposed to the Pies being Jewish tho! I imagine there's a lot of fun one could have drawing that, silly Hanukah sweaters and family games and latkes and all. Religion is a thing in Equestria, but it's nothing like christianity or judaism or the like. I imagine they're more like the Greeks, worshiping a pantheon of gods and goddesses, with Celestia and Luna often being revered as minor deities. Ponies holidays tend to be more vague celebrations of harvest and families than anything religiously focused. I'm seeing now I might've goofed with the christmas thing here, as I'm an athiest and celebrate the holiday purely from a secular perspective, but other people view christmas as fundamentally christian and may find it an offputting thing to inject into MLP, whoops

No embarrassment allowed! Care Bears is cute as heck. I’ll tell ya, when Iiiiii was a kid, I was obsessed....with the dreamworks movie....Madagascar. From like 2004. How obsessed? When watching it in English got boring, I’d watch it in French. I don’t speak French. I’d watch it at half speed so I could see individual frames. I wrote. A 42 page. Sequel. To this mediocre kids movie. And my only regret is that I lost that horrendous fanfic of epics when we moved homes. Whenever I get embarrassed about drawing little ponies, that Madagascar phase reminds me things could always be worse XD

It's scary how much our minds sync at times XD And though I usually go more for rain-themed characters like MY kiddo fav grumpy bear (not being an edge-lord, rainy weather and grey colors are way more peaceful to me then bright, sunny colors lol), I want 40 funshine bears shipped to my house RN. Its so cute! ❤❤
