Hey fellas, here’s an update on the Judy stuff I’ve been working on. I finished Judy’s model, and outfit. I thought her tattoos were gonna be really difficult to port over, but I was wrong. In Cyberpunk 2077, Judy’s tattoos are actually a separate mesh from her body. Her tattoos are applied as decals, and they actually float a tiny bit above her skin. This is a common technique throughout the game, but for me, this meant that her tattoos were a lot easier to bake into textures. I basically shrink-wrapped the tattoos onto my model and then used Bake Wrangler to merge the tattoos into Judy’s body textures. It was simple to do, and I think the results are pretty nice. Judy’s outfit was very straightforward. Rigging it went fine, and there’s not much to say about it.

And here’s how thicc I’m thinking of making Judy for the set.

I added a samurai shirt to V. I didn’t want to use her jacket again because I thought that would be a little repetitive. So I added this shirt to switch things up.

For the map, I recreated Judy’s Braindance room from lizzies bar. This was the most complicated scene build I’ve done. It took 6 days to make the map, which was 3 more days than I originally planned. And finding the assets for the map was a pain, I spent 2 days just digging through the game’s files and I still couldn’t find everything. Despite the shittyness of making the map, I think it is probably my most detailed scene so far and I think it looks awesome.

I’m gonna start working on the image set tomorrow, and as usual, it’s gonna be around 20 pics. I’m hoping to start posting the image set on Monday or Tuesday.

Rigid you are a king! Many of the top 3D artists credit you for the models and have made some incredible scenes with your work just as you have. Hopefully I'll be able to dabble in animation in the future and I'll definitely be looking up to you and others on my journey. Thank you

I am so stoked for this. I've been working on my Judy model for months and being able to learn from you is just going to make her better. The braindance room was something I was itching for too, but just couldn't battle my way through wolvenkit to get anything useable. Your hard work is appreciated and welcomed, Rig.

Do you sleep?

The environment turned out amazing, definitely worth the extra effort. Ever thought of doing a behind the scenes video/ time lapse of the process?

Black Dragon

Would love to see a video of this scene.

What program do you use to extract the games models? Ninja?

Perfect ❤️❤️❤️

Heyaheyaheya

This is gonna be awesome

I have thought about it, but I don’t think it’ll be a good look for me. Timelapses would make my work seem more complicated than it really is, and it’ll kinda come across as a “flex” in my opinion.
