Here's the first animation of the month :3 The second one is waiting for audio and the third one is started :D But still it's the 15th already so I better speed up xD
This animation is based on the mission on Rannoch, where Shepard is sent into the Geth Network in order to disrupt the orders to assault a Quarian fleet.
With the help of Legion, Shepard's consciousness is sent into the Geth Server's to destroy the commands for the Geth Fighter Squadron to attack the Quarian fleet. In this realm tho, times work differently, she has been tricked into thinking that she's been there for just a few hours but in reality she's been there for days at this point. Her real body has been recovered by the Geths which are studying it...
Progresses:
As always lots of studies on lighting, trying to done down a bit the volumetric in the background by increasing the contrast. I always liked reducing the shadows with some volumetric, especially since the old days when my animations turned out to be way too dark. Nowadays tho I use the Premiere's RGB Oscilloscope to tell if the scene is over or underexposed so I don't think I should overcompensate the shadows any longer with light. If my theory is right, I can have sharp and dark shadows that will not look pitch black on mobile phone as long as the scene is well exposed.
Other than that I'm studying how to make more realistic animations when it comes to idles and other sfw animations with minimum movements without making it look too still. I often watch animated movies to learn more about how the big companies animate their characters but 3d realistic animated movies are far more rare so I have less references. Doing my best as always :D
Aaaand some silly stuff, like finding all the modifiers used in a scene using the search bar. LOL believe me it's pretty useful when there are lots of subdivision surfaces in the scene and some of them are pointless so you have to find them all and disable them.
