From here on out, every side character we met since the beginning of the series is involved in the plot somehow. Its really a great feeling seeing all the old characters come back too - Leorio, Kura, Kurapika's Nen teacher, Hanzo, Bacho, Melody, Satotz, etc.

Also Tseszegara was only a Single star hunter. But Morel was a 2-Star hunter himself. I should also point out that half of the Zodiacs are 3-Star hunters, the other half are Double star hunters. And that each one of the Zodiacs trained with Netero before. So they got the sauce.

Adding on to my last comment, Stars are only given through major accomplishments for Hunters. They don't exactly represent power level at all. (As we know, Kurapika and Killua have no stars). Togashi breaks it down in his notes. Basically you have to lead multiple impactful projects and train multiple other Hunters with their Nen (something Bisky, Morel, Knov, and Ging did)

Don't get me wrong, Ging is a very wise individual, but I sometimes feel that Ging severely overestimates his son just because Gon is his blood. He did not account for the fact that the main reason Gon is still alive is because of his friends, many of whom saved his life along the way.

Half? Only Botobai, Cheadle, and Pariston are 3 stars. Togashi said Ging could have 3 stars but didn't bother applying for his 3rd or something. There are only 10 total in the world.
