you know i liked this arc. but its kinda stupid how a simple nukebomb can just took out royal guards and the king. like it defeats the purpose of them fighting this whole time and neteros death. a person in the crowd coulda brought the bomb and killed king. also its stupid how the poison from the bomb affects strong asfck people like the king and royal guards. they should be immune to it like killua is to many poisons. also these are not normal people. like a bullet can kill a normal person but cannot pierce thru the kings skin. so why is stupid poison able to kill someone as great as the king. he should have a strong ass immune system man what the hell im mad.

That episode is tough every single time ive seen it. So hard to hold in them man tears

Yeah Heatah, you got it right. The real Diego retired 30 years ago and is living in the countryside. He just had a fake look-alike run the country for all these years. This scene was probably to show that politicians and rich people dont face consequences because of their power/influence/money. While all this shit was going on, the real Diego was off chilling elsewhere, no care in the world.

those things you mentioned are the exact themes of this arc, how stupid and messed up the world is, showing us the duality of chimera ants and humans while also demonstrating how much more monstrous humans can be. All the metaphors and imagery of crushing bugs and belittling them constantly, etc. I'm mad too but that makes for a good show, they got you to love the Chimera Ants throughout the episodes with their development and character moments, their personalities, and all that and I'll miss em, RIP Mereum, RIP Komugi, RIP Royal Guard.

Man I forgot how sad this arc is... Meruem would be perfect supreme ruler of the world but even being most savage and cruel ant he couldn't stand up to cruelty of humans. This is arc has so much philosophical background it could be thought in universities lol

Preet

Amazing arc!

It's also to show how Diego reached the same conclusion as Meruem. Despite being an absolute ruler, he chose the peaceful life instead reaching enlightenment. If Netero had believed in Meruem's growth, maybe he could've had that ending eventually.

If I'm not mistaken but when Komugi said "I may not be worthy, but please allow me to join you." is a line used in Japan when accepting a marriage proposal. And BTW Heatah, there is no shame in crying. Many people cried during this episode. Junkputty & his brother Jaster cried during this episode. Riku & Dabster, other reacters, who even admitted they were as hard as a rock couldn't keep in the tears watching this episode. DeeBeeGeek, other reactor, was crying & it hit him even more then 131 did. And the list goes on. This episode is in my top 3 favorite HxH episodes.

Legion

This episode gets everyone. Togashi is the best

I'm actually really excited for 136! Surprisingly, I didn't get that emotional watching this episode but a certain moment during 136 had me bawling.

To me, this episode really hit home. Through this entire arc, we've seen the King grow and mature. He doesn't know what he wants, more or less lashing out at whatever conquest catches his eye. Eventually he finds gungi intriguing, until he is stripped away from the one he cares about for a large swath of the show. And then finally, when he's ascended to his ultimate state, he achieves enough clarity to discover what he truly wants. His relationship with Komugi, and his ultimate potential and growth as a person are cut short by the cruelty of the radiation. It made me cry for his humanity and all his lost potential. Merum - the light that illuminates all, was snuffed out, before the world could notice it. Tragic.

Lol yall remember Dragonball Z? When Android 16 was going to destroy Cell on a cellular level with the Nuke inside of him. Meruem died that way except through radiation poisoning. Even Goku died to poison/disease. In the end, even the most powerful can succumb to the toxins of the universe discovered by mankind. Even Superman will fall to that kryptonite.
