Ok I'm not going to lie. I finally take back what I said about slime. I could never get past season 1. It was too slow so it was trash to me. I didn't like Rimuru. But now I'm diggin it.

Slime is so painfully mid. It gives you a bunch of bullshit set up episodes just to have 2 decent episodes then it's back to more bullshit rinse and repeat. RE: Zero > Mushoku Tensei > Overlord >>>>Slime. Even reborn as a vending machine is better than Slime. Most overrated isekai bar none.

Wellz is literally just allergic to set up and animes that focus on the long pay off. It’s kinda sad cause that’s “the story” he claims to focus on when deciding if an anime is good but we know that’s cap and he just like edgy cringe emo shit. All this complaining about the comedy and seriousness could’ve been avoided by just watching sub. Honesty I would love for wellz to write his short story or anime thing he’s mentioned and see if he can pull of an interesting story with all the hype no build up and see how far he gets and how much it’s remembered

I get the for some people the set up was long, but the pay off wouldn’t have been as good or as meaningful if it was shorter and we didn’t see all the work they put in to get to where they are now

That’s one argument, some of the other important ones that get ignored are things like It’s hard for people with dyslexia to read subtitles I watch both sub and dub, but I also have CAPD, so if I’m not actively paying attention to the sub titles or not actively listening closely enough the Japanese dialogue just sounds like white noise and not actual words Some people also want to have anime on in the background while they do other stuff that’s not an option with sub

i feel what yall saying but the story is good and the pace is similar to other animes you just have to understand it and i feel like i was losing interest when i watched it in dub but when i switch to sub i didnt idk why but yeah it was also one of the top animes during the time it came out

Yeah I keep talking about World building as if motherfuckers didn't catch up to One Piece. Make all the excuses you want but nobody's going to sit and watch a movie for 45 minutes just to say "this shit trash" and still finish it. Usually when you start a series you give it a few episodes to get hyped if it doesn't do anything for you within those few episodes then you drop it. Isn't that not how most people watch a tv series? Yeah I just don’t agree u and wellz both need more media literacy if u thought everything that happened was boring. Especially since slime is ongoing so this isn’t even the conclusion just more hype set up. Wellz mad they didn’t kill that girl or react off anger and make the wrong decision last week and is literally just throwing a tantrum over it the amount of smoke plus just good build up and world building is what makes slime good not just the hype moments. Even wellz stubborn ass admitted he was wrong about that if slimes your favorite line so u doubling down even after the episode shows who u are.

I'm confused by their decision to watch certain animes in dub. For their side teams (red/blue/green team) I get it, but when its the main gang, why not watch in sub and save dub for the rewatch with the other teams.
