It's been an exciting year. A lot of changes. The game has progressed a lot, I had my first child and I got certified in UX design among all the other things that happened this year and you all have been wonderful advocates the whole way through. Thank you all so much for your continued support, I look forward to bringing fun new content this winter and into 2024.
Below is just a quick patch to cap off some stuff for the latest update as well as to add a little test image pack. If you want to try the image pack test, it's the second file. Playing the Insatiable Hearts html file from the same location as the "images" folder should load those into the game. They're only used right now in the "Image test" pages that are found in the debug skip at the beginning of the game. Just trying some things, which will bring me to the poll below.
But first, the change-log
Insatiable Hearts 0.1.2D Patch 1
x Fixed a broken flag preventing the alternative scene for the berry girl ritual scene when the player has met Baronet Laurent previously
x Fixed a couple missing dialog tags in lexi's interactions resulting in the yellow text
x Fixed the missing "hair-style" mutations for the Oojinn & Grease Kindred mutation sets
x Fixed background attachment on the new dream orbs backdrop causing it to warp strangely on some pages
x Fixed berry-morph mutations not being factored into player's species checks
~ Adjusted species calculations to greatly increase the value of non-human features towards species determination.
~ Added a dark backing to links to aid in readability
~ Added some more material for image tests, these can be found in the debugskip menu at the start of the game
Now the poll. So, after fiddling with some image code and use some of my existing art to make character profiles and doing some little kitbashed dreamy background images I took these in game test shots for what the game might be like utilizing images. Before I spend any more time on it, I just wanted to see if there was any interest in this kind of stuff. Do you all prefer the purely text base experience, do you enjoy images as enhancers, do you find them distracting? Are they a priority to you? As it will take time and file size to create a decent enough amount of art assets for at least character profiles, major scenes and some of the backgrounds/items/details etc
Anyways, would love to hear your thoughts and I hope you all have a good holiday season and enter this new year as refreshed as I hope to feel haha.
