Below are the full prompts as the poll doesn't allow the full text. In the case of ties the first option that got there wins. The short story will be finished by the end of the month.

  • Domain Downer - Cultivator ascends to godhood only to find out that there are too many gods and not enough domains. Gains dominion over marbles. Not toys or glass, just marbles.
  • Minimum Wage -  The Heroes failed. The Villians successfully activated the summoning ritual for their world-conquering Demon army. However, Villians being the greedy bastards that they are, skimpted on the sacrifices. Didnt even offer "Half of the World" as is tradition. Well, you get what you pay for.
  • Grocery Store Disappearances: I've put this one up a few times. Anyway, If you've ever heard of the Tales from the Loop RPG, this was originally an idea for a scenario for it. Basically kids are going missing in local grocery stores and now a kid and their group of friends need to figure out what is going on because their sibling has vanished in the local grocery store, the anomaly is going to move soon, and of course the parents don't believe you.

*shrugs* The grocery store one will keep popping up till it wins, just because it is the one I've been using if I don't have a clear third. If I ever have more time, maybe I write more of them. Then again, I also have a note full of other story ideas. Though most of them I want to give the same sort of treatment I am with Banished Talent or maybe even taking the place as one of my main novels. Have some examples (and I specifically am not including the story I plan to write next) Regressor returns to just before the apocalypses, except they're independently rich and can actually do significant things having learned how to be human during the end of the world 3 short stories. 1st - classic power fantasy with a guy out to kill God for the suffering they caused. This doesn't quite work as they manage to shatter God, but it turns out God is some eldritch being that is beyond time and space. 2nd - retelling the 1st story except the shattered pieces of the God are everywhere causing problems (think Kamigawa kami and how they would have mini elements of themselves when they came to the physical world). Not only that, but the MC has a much harder time because the shattered target him. Through this he becomes strong enough to actually kill God for realsies this time. 3rd - another retelling, except without the God, power isn't restricted and so things are bad. The MC then gains power to change things for the better, eventually transcending space and time, though in doing so loses themselves. Cultivation Reincarnation Isaki where the protag traded all his everything for the best Spirit Root. For some reason this isn't possible in one go. The story starts with a mortal in a cultivation world who lives a full life, just a normal farmer with a normal family. No disasters or last minute regrets. Then they find themselves in a modern office where a being explains this and that to gain the best Spirit Root the MC needs to progress through reincarnation one life at a time, each time getting the next up root and having to fully excavate the potential of that root to take the next step. This isn't the first time he was here and might not be the last. If he fails enough the root degrades and if it hits the state of worst root his memories are wiped, though he can ask for that voluntarily. Superhero/villian but that's all just a bluff. They fight each other to train because if you think a fellow human with a death ray is as bad as it gets, you ain't seen nothing yet. Immoral MC being questioned about the morality of his actions. MC admits he doesn't really care and while the ends do not justify the means, he is fine with that. Reincarnator who kept their memories by turning their mind into a meme (memetic like SCP) and thus also has gained some immunity to mind affecting stuff.
