MurderPartyMaster: And so I think I'll stick with the scifi offering. Fantasy settings always have to jump through way too many hoops to make a murder mystery work. Sort of takes the fun out of it when the cleric can just cast speak with dead.

FairEnough: I still think you're missing a trick! Yes, they've got to work harder, but a fantasy murder mystery has so many more possibilities!

JokeAccount05: And speaking of AI made games, I've heard some stuff online? Can we really trust some computers to make a proper VR experience. They've not been IRL, so how can they copy it?

MurderPartyMaster: I'm with Fair, having lived through the LLM bubble were everything was “AI”, even trying to call the SAI the same thing is hilarious. The ‘s’ stands for sapient for a reason.

AlbertAlchemy294: And with that I assume we're moving on to a new subject. So, what's the alchemy like? Can't be a fantasy setting without alchemy!

Allison: Despite the game being out for a while now, the players haven't revealed too much about that aspect. Just kind of hard to get into it from what I hear.

AlbertAlchemy294: Even better! That means I can discover stuff and there won't just be a exhaustive guide about it within a week.

Allison: Of course she is, she's the leader of one of the big guilds and hers didn't manage to land any of the up and coming alchemy stars.

AlbertAlchemy294: Sounds like I've chosen the right time to join! I'll put those fools to shame with what is sure to be my massive innate talent at all things alchemy.

Allison: That's not your fault. We've got freaking SAI now and people still want to stick others in a box. I've even heard rumors of people going the next step.

ADMIN: I'm not counting this as I hadn't left, but no rumors about that. It gets the religious types all frothing mad.

Berry222Berry: Anyway, I checked out your idea and it looks optimized to hell and back. I'll be honest, you could probably sell it to a game studio for six, seven digits.

May/Hem: Meh, I don't need the money.

May/Hem: So you like it?

Berry222Berry: Gods and Goddesses no! I've seen hospital less sterile. This isn't some old school RPG where minmaxing is the way to get ahead.

Berry222Berry: Like, I guess if you just wanted to be grunt and join a guild as a gold farmer it's a great setup? You'll tear through level appropriate mobs as long as there aren't any surprises. That is, if your lucky to get the right skills and such. The only thing you truly have control of is character creation.

Allison: Just noticed, I think it's just us again? For all PercyShocker goes on about all the guys in chat, it tends to devolve into girls once the anoms are shut up.

May/Hem: So what should I do? I've got the tism and designing out my character for games and such is what I do.

Berry222Berry: Quiet Allison, random isn't the answer to everything. Just because your favorite steamer chose it and got lucky is the exception and not the rule.

May/Hem: I know SoulDive is set in a realistic fantasy world, but is social all that important? I'm not one to just call charisma a dump stat, but I figure realistic means I'm not rolling a d20 and versing my bluff against their perception.

May/Hem: No random

Allison: Give a look, pull the lever, roll them bones, give it a spin!

MurderPartyMaster: I can speak on this. 

MurderPartyMaster: They're not using a sapient for generic shopkeep #407, but they do use both humans and SAI for some of the pivotal roles. Oh, and while they aren't using SAI for that shopkeep, they've sprinkled in a bunch of NAIs in hope of them achieving Apotheosis. Besides, the LAI are perfectly fine acting as normal people.

May/Hem: There's NAI in the game? I can corrupt them with my personal style of madness? Hahahahaha! Just wait, I shall cause so much !!Fun!!

Berry222Berry: 1) You won't know whose what. They don't mark the difference.

Berry222Berry: 2) If you aren't careful, you'll end up forced into one of the factions for Evil.

Berry222Berry: 3) They most assuredly have safeguards for the NAI.

MurderPartyMaster: Besides, you aren't the only one who will be interacting with them.

MurderPartyMaster: I doubt you'll be able to monopolize even a percent of a more powerful NPC. Of note, they're called locals in the game.

Berry222Berry: Not that they don't know something is up, just that they know what NPC stands for and don't like it when you call them that.

May/Hem: tldr, going to laugh like a mad scientist as I wait for my top of the line capsule to arrive and be installed.

MurderPartyMaster: How the hell do you have one of those? The SAIs basically don't sell them!

May/Hem: You just have to throw enough money at them, duh. We don't live in a fantasy world. Even the rarest thing can be gotten with money. The question isn't if, but how much and how legally.

MurderPartyMaster: You just got lucky in one of their testing lotteries. No need to pretend to be some rich

MurderPartyMaster: I couldn't think of a word that wouldn't trigger the admin, but you get the idea

May/Hem: Well, I was fibbing a little. There are things that money can't buy and I'm not rich enough to be in those circles. Still richer than you!

MurderPartyMaster: rolls eyes sure you are. I'm a damn high level IT professional. If my connections couldn't find me a capsule, you're just full of hot air.

Allison: You should both join and roll random!

MurderPartyMaster: What would that even do?

May/Hem: No way, games are supposed to be fun. I wouldn't want to drag them into something they don't want.

Allison: But it is the best way to go! They call it random, but it clearly isn't. The data is against that. You get something suitable for you!

Berry222Berry: Dog please, I might not have gone as far as May did, but I designed my character to be just what I wanted. Random can give you things you didn't want at all.

In their room, the user known as May/Hem, laughs and laughs. They normally don't join random chats, but this one ended up being fun. Though this does mean they have to wait for the capsule to arrive, because they weren't lying.

They can't wait to finally experience full immersion VR! The SAI had figured out how to get close with normal equipment. A simple headset could out do even the more complex VR setups from before.

But it was the capsules that brought it to full one to one sensory immersion. No eating food without flavor or a muted sense of touch. They would finally have something they had craved since they had started reading web novels.

They couldn't help but stand up and caper around. It was so close! Hahahaha!
