Part One 

It had been a few days since Shen had saved Alex out of the rather sticky situation on the burning bridge. The tigress’s concerts were postponed for now as she recovered from the ordeal. Alex brought her warm mug of coffee to her lips and took a sip. She was sitting out on the balcony of Shen’s massive villa, in the middle of Lion Mountain Ranch. She was in the middle of nowhere but the view in front of her was incredible; vast fields with cliffs and hills as far as the eye could see. “So, when are you going to tell me how you know Yuri?” Alex asked, smacking her lips to get the donut glaze off her face. “Fine, fine, another time it is then, next time maybe before I get kidnapped, yes?” she teased. Shen found it a bit worrying how lightly she was able to treat the whole situation after just a few days, but people handled things a lot differently, and Alex found that making light of things made her feel less scared of certain situations. She went quiet as she thought of something she could as him.

Shen picked up another donut and munched on it as he awaited the questioning.

“Why do you live alone in this HUGE ass house?” the tigress finally had something to ask.

The question came when Shen was mid-bite and he took a few seconds to chew and swallow before he answered. “Well, I’m… Immortal, like I said, and it’s hard to find someone who’ll stay with me for that long… Other people aren’t immortal, you see…” he chuckled softly. “Are all of these questions going to be about Yuri in some way?” Shen shook his head. “I want you to not think about that, you’ve been through a lot, I don’t want you to have to relive it.” The large wolf was worried about her. She wouldn’t let it go, the last thing he needed was for her to become obsessed with Yuri, immortality, or anything like that.

“No!” Alex shook her head. “I’m just putting two and two together.” The tigress licked her fingers after she finished her first donut. She went in for another immediately after.

The black wolf rolled his eyes and took another bite out of his donut. He chewed and swallowed before he responded, “Seventeen.”

“Seventeen? What, INCHES?” Alex raised her brows and blinked at him.

With a smug look plastered all over his face, Shen nodded. “Yup.”

Alex’s jaw almost hit the floor and the piece of donut that she had been chewing almost fell from her mouth. She swallowed it with a loud gulp before she shook her head. “You’re kidding. You can’t be that big. You’re a wolf, not a horse…” She continued to shake her head in disbelief.

“Really? Your favorite flavor of ice cream is lime?” Shen looked at the tigress with a puzzled expression. “That’s not what I remember seeing online.”

Shen nodded and looked down at his wrist to check his watch. He then looked back at Alex, gripped the armrests of his chair, and pushed himself up onto his feet. “Well, Alex, it has been nice getting to know you, but I have a few household errands I need to run, get some lunch for us to eat.” Alex’s eyes followed him as he got up from his chair and she frowned a little when he said he needed to go. “Aw, the questions were just getting good, too.”

“We can continue this over lunch,” her bodyguard nodded as he walked over to Alex’s side and extended a hand out to her to help her out of her chair. “You can take a bath while I’m out, too,” he smiled. “I think you’ll love the bathtub in the master bathroom…”

Alex smiled at the idea of a nice bath, but when she realized he might have just suggested she take a bath because she smelled, she panicked, went wide-eyed, and brought her arm close to her nose to sniff herself. “Wait!” The tigress spoke up. Shen stopped in his tracks and turned back around with raised eyebrows. “Hmm?”

“I have one last question.” The tigress said. “Would you like to have sex with me?”
