A Final Thought (Patreon)

Dear Patrons, 

The earlier scenario I addressed has continued to unfold and I felt it was necessary to address it one last time. I stand by my decision to enforce a community guideline of no debates. This isn’t a forum for debates. My time is better spent creating content than it would be mediating arguments. That said, some Patrons have reached out to me and expressed that the way I dealt with the situation caused them to feel unheard, misunderstood, and even attacked or unwelcome. This couldn’t be further from what I wanted to accomplish. While it is within my rights as the host of this page to decide what types of conversations I want to allow or prohibit here, I now realize that the way I went about asserting that right wasn’t as fair and impartial as this community deserves. Every single supporter of mine deserves to feel safe, even when I’m making executive decisions. I’ve taken this as a learning experience for the future, and I look forward to all of us working together to create a fun, healthy atmosphere.
