I need more SHINee album reaction.

I think another fun campy performance by SHINee is "Girls, Girls, Girls". It is basically a song where the members give Taemin advice about girls. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNc2zX0mbFM

Ah! Surprisingly, you picked an Evil performance that has a little less of the theater pizzaz aspect to it. The version at the SHINee WORLD III concert in Seoul is a bit more involved. Not to say that this Tokyo Dome performance is bad, it's SHINee so of course they killed it. It's just a little more toned down. I highly recommend watching the SHINee WORLD III Seoul performance even if on your own to see the full effect of Evil's theater staging. Evil and Queen of New York are both absolute BANGERS. I like them both for different reasons but they're pretty equal in my heart.

This performance of EVIL is great ( it IS SHINee after all) but here's a reason why I specifically recommended you the SWC3 one every time, it's so much more dramatic... this is the performance (even with English subtitles..) https://youtu.be/MXaYpZkYSYc?si=BMwgenlduEY7A7ou

Other dramatic or performative performances are: Onw minute back - https://youtu.be/y78zHW4NOIY?si=2yZQqRq_mr-5VSjz, password- https://youtu.be/-2Yk_Dc2q2A?si=dcpVMsWHIYpyu6LJ , orgel - https://youtu.be/DHInx0Ga3yM?si=__O1KQJdNCObD0Om , Quasimodo - https://youtu.be/Ib35Ii6T5hw?si=sno796eRrx1rfz3_ , Girls Girls Girls - https://youtu.be/IxYj8PhHcYs?si=UN1uuh-Hk4ir7VRt

This Evil performance is from their first Tokyo Dome performance. However the better one with the theatrical feels would be the one from their SWC3 concert - the same concert from that Queen of New York performance. This is much much better in my opinion if you want to get immersed in the performance. Here's the link if you want to still check it out: https://youtu.be/AQ0L6lY2riM?si=gEHNCNS1mWnHz0RU

If you want more of their theatrical performances - Girls Girls Girls from SWC3 is a must watch already with eng subs: https://youtu.be/fNc2zX0mbFM?si=72lZwiWpWlzXAn5Y. Another cute one is Punch Drunk Love - https://youtu.be/oPVtdECtUYg?si=Ks-ELVlU02RjvxIv. Imagine hearing their live vocals while goofing around with Minho doing jumping ropes.

I wouldn't necessarily call Evil 'theatrical' at least not in the musical sense of way as Woof Woof, Girls Girls Girls or Queen Of New York are but they get so immersed in this evilish character it does have some acting elements. A lot of it is coded in the choreography that is very expressive and the interaction with the backup dancers, and because of their absence this performance was lacking that extra oomph. It's still great but I agree with everyone who said that SHINee World III performance brings the best of it. Haha it's hard to expect a song named 'Evil' be cute, but it would be pretty hilarious. This is a great example of SHINee's duality as the two songs and performances are pretty much total opposites. SHINee shouldn't be put into a box because they can literally pull off anything and their discography is very vast and diverse. It's understandable since you haven't heard many songs in this direction yet but they were exploring darker/mysterious/sensual themes pre Odd and 1 of 1. Evil, in particular, comes from the 2013 'The Misconceptions Of Us' album that is comprised of two parts: 'The Misconceptions Of You' and 'The Misconceptions Of Me' that are packed with amazing songs. The performance for Evil you watched is from their Tokyo Dome concert in 2014. All of their Tokyo Dome concerts have live bands playing, thus, the instrumentals sound slightly different and often better than the studio version of older songs. I love that about having bands with real instruments as we sort of get to re-experience the song in a new way.

For more 'theatrical' or just good performances I'd add the following as well: Why So Serious? at SHINee World V (with amazing dance break, this performance really elevates the song for me, which is normally not my favorite): https://youtu.be/Io5MXNwioT4 Kiss Yo + Start at SHINee World 2013 (this one is even more crazy than Woof Woof with the props lol): https://youtu.be/39-JCAVJX2k Bounce at SHINee World 2014 (just realized this is Ofra's video haha, with Onew tap dancing): https://youtu.be/vaFugU72C24 Wanted at SHINee World 2016 Tokyo Dome: https://youtu.be/tLIiJnFZvi0 Photograph at SHINee World 2016 Tokyo Dome: https://youtu.be/Ew9IBPNIGjI ABOAB at SHINee World 2017 -Five- (I love this song, it's so unique about blood types, and idk what the hell is going on with the stage): https://youtu.be/i1FXTfUdotA Do Me Right + 1 of 1 + Mr. Right Guy at SHINee World 2017 -Five- : https://youtu.be/tT89ZR_qqY4 Most of these are their Japanese songs btw, they always have a slightly different vibe from their Korean discography. There's also many amazing Japanese ballads.
