EXO and Red Velvet was SM trainee around the same time. So they are quite close to each other. EXO debut in 2012 and RV debut at 2014. I believe their training regime is almost the same which is why they are very strong in vocal, dance and performance. They are among the best group ever produced in Kpop in terms of of skill wise.
