Characters: Cagalli, Dark Elf Cleric and Rogue; and Kyoot, Kenku bard

Cagalli is the daughter of a reincarnated Goddess of Light and the descendant of a God of Dark.

She grew up not knowing any effect that this mix of bloodlines might have, spending most of her childhood exploring deep tombs and ruins across the world with her parents.

Cagalli became a curious explorer and avid treasure hunter. As she got older, she was dragged into a civil war caused by her father's old adventuring party before he retired, fighting hard for what she believed. Near the end of the war, she awakened a tremendous power in her mixed bloodlines, which came at a cost. After she used this power too much, a surge of magic pulled her away from her world.

When she next awoke, Cagalli found herself in a strange world with vastly different technologies, cultures, and landscapes. Most of her magic had also gone along with a lot of her battle prowess. Soon after she came under the protection of the goddess Eilistraee, eventually becoming a devoted cleric. With her newfound insight, Cagalli eventually discovered that she was trapped in an inevitable cycle that would warp her into another world after she recovered enough of her magical energy.

Kyoot is a kenku who grew up in Borshire, a small mixed village on the edge of a vast forest. All through her younger years, the traveling bards who visited her village fascinated her love of music. In time, she began to learn their music and mimicked it clearly. Once she was old enough, she quickly joined into a bard group that was passing through and easily became like family to them.

Eventually, Kyoot came to learn that through the magic of music she may eventually learn to achieve the goal she's always wanted: to fly as high as the skies would allow, and so she decided to become an adventurer and learn to harness that power.
