A powerful sorceress and monk with a dark past I painted on commission recently!

Character: Brooke Seawall, Divine Soul Sorcerer and Draconian Spirit Monk

Brooke was born into a small rural family and lived an unremarkable life off their lands for the first years of her life. One day during a trip to town with a neighboring family, she discovered her healing powers after her young friend and neighbor fell off a cart.

When the family arrived in town, she was brought to the church who warned her about her powers and told her that she required church supervision. After her parents left her there, thinking she was safe, Brooke was banished by the church and sent to Barovia for the “blasphemy” of having a direct connection to their god as a divine soul and therefore a threat to the very organization she had been entrusted to. Without a need of the clergy to reach a deity, she represented a fundamental threat to the very existence of the church itself.

Brooke would spend the next sixteen years surviving in Barovia alone before meeting a group of adventurers corrupted by ancient evils, who intended to escape the gloomy prison. When it became clear that none of these alleged allies were ultimately going to do the right thing and confront Strahd, Brooke set out on her own, making new connections and wielding the Sunsword with one intent.: to free Barovia, her home, and find her long lost family.

Eventually she freed Barovia and in the process committed numerous good deeds alongside new friends and allies she found along the way. She became a hero of the people, but her cruel fate meant she would never again see her family, as they were murdered by those who had dispatched her to Barovia years ago…
