In the latest “YOU Choose, I Draw!” poll you voted for “A mysterious shadow dragon of Theomachy in her dark elf form and her true form!” so here is Nethyrassa, the shadow dragon in both forms, who has tricked the god of trickery himself and escaped his grasp to hide in the Sunken World!

Nethyrassa is a rare shadow dragon that has slipped the grasp of dark powers to find refuge in the Sunken World under the disguise of a priestess of the Old Spider, the mysterious and benevolent deity of the dark elves.

Born during the Civil Dragonwars, Nethyrassa was destined to join a new generation of obedient shadow dragons in service of the warring god of dark secrets, Nelchior. Using cunning and deception, Nethyrassa defied her destiny and slithered away from the dark god’s grasp before her spirit was bent, but infused with Nelchior’s living shadow.

Desperate to hide in shadows beyond the dark god’s influence, she sought refuge in the deepest caves of the Sunken World. There, Nethyrassa found Ranathyl, an ambitious priestess of the Old Spider, who became her adoptive mother and eagerly helped her assume the identity of a young dark elf acolyte.

In the following century, Nethyrassa lived as a dark elf and aided her adoptive mother to become one of the eight high priestesses of the Old Spider. But now, Nethyrassa’s dragon blood is calling her to explore the world beyond the safety the Old Spider’s domain, and perhaps seek out the truth of her existence at the sacred peak of the white dragons, Mount Shirodan. However, leaving the Sunken World will put her in grave danger from zealotous dragon hunters and dragons who would mistake her true allegiance, but also the dark god Nelchior who has been patiently waiting for his magic to return to him…
