By the way, the name "Megumi" is a feminine name, kinda like an equivalent to a dude being named "Emily", that's what fushiguro meant when he said "the father who named me with no regard to my gender".

From the way I took it, the boy with the covered mouth was saying different ingredients like tuna then I believe he said salmon and roe, rice balls in Japanese cuisine I'm pretty sure using different ingredients like a type of stuffing inside the actual rice balls Also at about timestamp 50:36 there's a clear shot of pandas armband and it literally just says I love panda lol I just found that funny

Just to clarify, Fushiguro wasn't just standing around doing nothing for no reason. He's not capable of healing, neither is Itadori for that matter. Sukuna would have been the only one who could in that scenario and he certainly wasn't going to.

Salmon roe is salmon eggs. All of your questions will be explained by the show i.e. why they are the way they are or why they do the things they do. Rice balls or Onigiri have different ingredients depending on how they're made. Sometimes they have filling/toppings, but in general you're always going to get sticky rice formed into a ball or like a chubby looking triangle wrapped in nori (seaweed) they are delicious and you should definitely try some if given the chance. Definitely take notes, this show is going to give you an overload of information so pause and write down as you need to.

lol yall cracking me up dancing to the outro, i'm right there with you tho 😂 and i told you! it's going to throw stuff at you and then circle back and you'll learn more. Inumaki is such an interesting character, speaking in rice ball ingredients is really unique 😅 everyone seems so powerful in this show, but that doesn't mean Megumi can just put a heart back in after it's been ripped out 😂😂

We finally have the introduction of my favorite character! We don't get his name yet but he's the super lovely upstanding citizen with the stitches on his forehead that's giving Jogo advice on how to beat the sorcerers and have curses reign supreme. Also, the dialogue goes by pretty fast but it's revealed that Forehead Stitch guy is the reason the womb curse appeared at the juvenile detention center. He or Jogo and the rest of the other curses must have fed that finger to a random curse to test out the power a single Sukuna finger has, so it was no coincidence that the special grade curse that the freshman were fighting happened to have consumed one of Sukuna's fingers in the first place. It was an experiment.

Y’all trying to understand what’s going on is so funny 😂. Just to clarify something about Inumaki (who’s one of my favs), Japanese rice balls are typically filled or topped with different ingredients. Salmon roe is basically just a type of caviar aka fish eggs. I can explain what he means by each ingredient but I don’t know if that is considered a spoiler or not. I wouldn’t think so cause it’s helpful to understand what he’s saying. Let me know if I should though. I’d be happy to provide that info under this comment

yeah definitely keep writing notes. They will help you, but even if they didn't, I would love to have a notebook with all my original thoughts on all the anime I've watched. It will be cool to look back through it when you're done. JJK is actually really tame about introducing new characters. In a couple of episodes you will be introduced to about 10 at once. But other than that, you normally get one or two important new characters per episode. Which makes at least that part of the show a bit more beginner friendly.

Honestly.. I think you should just watch the show because the pausing when confused to only be explained after you resume might make things even more complicated. Remember this is an anime where the characters have powers! I mean they are fighting a reincarnated cursed spirit that used to be a human being hundreds of years ago. So a talking panda that stands on hind legs is not that far fetched in this show. lol I LOVE JJK and you guys will love it too! Sit back and enjoy! 😊

Quick explanation for Inumaki Toge without trying to spoil anything: Rough translation for when he speaks in ingredients-- Salmon - Agree/Affirm Bonito flakes - disagree/deny Kelp - greeting Mustard Leaf - Concern / Worry I think some of the other stuff is mostly just gibberish, but i could be wrong. He does know/can speak normal words, but he prefers not to, you will see why due time 😊 Looking forward to more JJK reactions, this is definitely one of my favorites right up there with AOT.

Fushiguro Megumi uses hand symbols/gestures to summon his shikigami, so when he was standing off against Sukuna with his hands in fists and you thought he might have Yuji’s heart he was actually preparing to summon one but changed his mind. You’ll see as we go on he uses different gestures for different shikigami. We’ll also get a bit more of an explanation of his cursed technique as we go on, but like with most things in this show it’ll be in bits and pieces. It really is an exercise in patience, haha, but I’m sure your viewers will let you know if you miss something that you should already know.

Another patron already talked about this but I'd like to go deeper onto each of Megumi's Shikigami seen so far: Divine Dogs: The divine dogs are the dog-like shikigami that have the features of dogs, or even more similar to wolves to be fair. Nue: Nue is the Bird shikigami, It uses eletricity throughout It's body to attack their enemies. Orochi/Great Serpent: The Great serpent, well, its literally just a giant snake LOL. Toad: Its just a toad, It's mainly able to use its tongue in an extremely high distance to attack/grab things from far away, similarly to how megumi caught nobara. Either way, Megumi's technique will be expanded on alot later, I am sure you two will have alot of fun with him going forward, principally with that little chant he started against sukuna, but never finished since itadori swapped out.

Adding another comment as I watch because I forgot to address this, Domain Expansions are a type of move inside the Jujutsu Kaisen world, so this name is worth keeping in mind! Correcting the other comment about domains, a Domain is basically an separate space created within a barrier, this barrier is created from cursed energy or using the space around you as a barrier, as we can see with the Juvenile Detention center, when Megumi call's it a "Innate Domain". Malevolent Shrine is the name of Sukuna's Domain Expansion, a Domain can have various effects, like ambient changes, as seen in the Innate domain in the Juvenile Detention Center, making the door's disappear and all that, and they can also have a technique imbued on them, which can be seen on Sukuna's Domain Expansion, where it instantly chopped up the curse in pieces. They will be explained soon!
