Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Contract of the Bound Name  — This scroll is written like a contract, with several blank areas to be filled in. You can speak the scroll's command word and target a creature to put them under the effects of the geas spell with a limited duration. Alternatively, you can fill out the scroll with ink and write a creature whos name you know to impose disadvantage on the saving throw against the scroll. When used in this way you can write additional names of the target, if any, to increase the saving throw DC.

2)  Frontliner’s Aegis  — This set of chain mail can change itself and react to the dangers of the battlefield. You gain a bonus to AC depending on the number of hostile creatures near you and the armor doesn't impose disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.

3)  Turtle Pack  — A backpack made from pieces of a dragon turtle and reinforced with magical silk. The backpack functions as bag of holding with some changes, including: it always weighs 50 pounds, you have resistance to some forms of damage, and you can hold your breathe for up to 1 hour.

4)  Build-A-Trap Kit  — This embroidered bag functions as an extradimensional space and contains a variety of materials that can be pulled from it to make an impromptu trap. When you reach into the bag you pull out three items at random from a list.

5)  Barroom Bedlam  — A tarnished coin that reeks of blood and booze. You can throw the coin at a point on the ground to generate a magical area. Any creature who enters the area is unable to discern friend from foe, regarding all creatures as enemies.

6)  Skitter Ring  — This copper band is shaped like a centipede with countless legs. You can throw in on the ground and speak the command word to transform it into a giant centipede. Additionally, you can see through the centipede as if you were in its space.

7)  Knife of the Greencarver  — A well used green knife with a bright wooden handle. You can carve a Tiny statue and imbue it with life as if by the animate objects spell.
