Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Scroll of the True Self  — A scroll to make your outer appearance match your inner one. You can use the scroll to cast the alter self spell using the Change Appearance option. When the spell ends the appearance becomes permanent.

2)  Solacesteel Knuckles  — A pair of punching knuckles made from solacesteel. While using them, your unarmed strikes count as magical, you can deal radiant damage instead of bludgeoning, and your unarmed strike die becomes 1d4 if not higher.

3)  Hallowed Scroll of Warding  — A scroll that is enveloped in consecrated protection texts and ribbons. While attuned, you have advantage on saving throws against spells and effects from fiends and undead. Additionally, you can expend charges to increase the DC of your Channel Divinity class features until there are no charges remaining.

4)  Xorn Eye Coin  — A magical golden coin with a swiveling eye on one side. When activated, the eye stares in the direction of the nearest treasure containing precious metals and stones, such as coins and gems, and vibrates the closer you are for 1 hour.

5)  Tawny’s Polish of Reminiscence  — This set of cobbler's tools includes a brush, cloth, and a small pot of polish. You can spend 1 minute shining a pair of boots to learn everywhere they've been in the last 24 hours.

6)  Griffon's Lessons on Extraplanar Spaces  — A book of lessons regarding extraplanar spaces. After reading the book for long enough, your Wisdom score increases, and you gain the ability to use an action to detect the nearest extradimensional portal to you.

7)  Fey Thorn  — A magical rose stem covered in colorful thorns that absorbs into your hand when you attune to it. You can use an action to grow a thorn dagger from your hand that regrows on your next turn if you throw it.
