Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  Warband Pigments  — A small tin containing a variety of face paints that when worn provides advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks. Additionally, when you are reduced to 0 hit points, but not  outright killed, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. A half-orc gains advantage on their first attack roll after this or their Relentless Endurance is used.

2)  Armband of the Elements  — A pair of armbands made for a monk that have been carved from an ancient earth elemental with four elemental crystals etched onto them. During a short rest you can change the active element. You can spend ki to imbue your unarmed strikes with the active element to deal extra damage. Additionally, you can expend the band's charges to perform special actions depending on their attuned element.

3)  Pin Pal  — You can attune to this plush doll by pricking yourself on a needle that comes with it. It takes on your likeness and can be controlled mentally like a familiar, and also allows you to succeed on a single death saving throw each day.

4)  Hellish Heels  — A pair of cloven boots that transform your feet into fiendish hooves. They enhance your Charisma and Intelligence, grant fire resistance, and allow you to stomp a line of molten earth to inflict fire damage in a line.

5)  Devil's Golden Fiddle  — This golden fiddle has been sought by many but owned by few. While the fiddle is played, you can use it to cast spells with a verbal component. You have advantage on Charisma (Performance) checks and any creature who can hear the fiddle has disadvantage on checks made in musical competitions. When a creature misses with an attack roll you can cast the viscous mockery cantrip, targeting them. This fiddle is cursed and doesn't accept failure. If you lose a musical competition it automatically unattunes from you and attempts to attune to the victor.

6)  Armor of the Grotesque  — This stone-like armor is adorned with ghoulish motifs. You can doff the armor as an action, giving it wings and flying off to a point within 30 feet of you where it transforms into a gargoyle under your control for 1 hour.

7)  Medium's Breath  — This bamboo flute has talismans adorned with symbols of life and death, and is tuned to excite or calm emotions. You can play the flute to assert control over undead with various effects. You can give an undead controlled by another creature their personality and mental scores back for a limited time or causing a phantom of a creatures past to hunt them, if one exists.
