The murkfolk are coming, and we'll be ready

Welcome all to Belciennes, the amphibious city of rangers and lilies! This release is unique in a couple of ways:

Borough Guide

The city of Belciennes is the second largest town in the lowlands. It is home to the ruuns: frog- and toadfolk who have become the masters of this fertile valley. Belciennes lies on the frontlines of a war with the vengeful murkfolk and their draconic overlord Acridaethruix. Our guide gives you everything you need to know about the city, its famous Alabaster Lilies, and the fabled Marshwarden Coliseum. Plus, we set the stage for a thrilling rescue mission deep into murkfolk territory.

Maps

The city of Belciennes exists half above water, and half below. The marshy town on the shore of Vasteloc is a haven for new parents who bring their eggs to the lily pads to hatch. Tiny canals line the city streets, perfect for tadpoles to accompany their parents on daily tasks. Of course, we also provide a view that shows the underwater frog homes. Make no mistake: this city was not built with humans first in mind. We've also got two additional variants for this map—misty and rainy—to really hammer home the dampness of this setting.

Patrons at the Chief Courier tier or higher also gain access to the interior of the Marshwarden Coliseum. This large training ground is where fledgling rangers hone their skills and prepare for the war against The Murk. As such, the lower floors are dedicated to blowgun marksmanship, underwater assaults, and all of the amphibious shenanigans expected of the elite ruuns.

Music

Come on. If you see a coliseum in a map, you know we're going to give you some combat music. "Allies Against the Murk" is your perfectly proud marshwarden fanfare. Big brass and bright and colorful woodwinds are the perfect underscore for challenges in the arena or daring missions into enemy territory. Plus, if you just want some basic underscoring for intense moments, we've got a stripped down version that just features the bold underlying percussion.
