Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1)  My First Rodeo  — A magical book containing short stories in the same style of a children's book. You can read one of this book's chapters to willingly charm up to 4 creatures that can hear you. While charmed, each creature is engrossed in the story and gains proficiency with a tool or skill for 1 hour relating to the story that was told.

2)  Flash Foxhole  — A circle made of black leather that can be placed on a flat surface as an action to create a magical trench 4-feet-deep and up to 30 feet in length and creatures in the trench have full cover against ranged attacks.

3)  Sphere of Rapid Descent  — A rubbery ball with a pull cord, it can be used to cast the resilient sphere spell on yourself with a few changes, including ignoring damage from impact surfaces or falling but cannot roll the sphere from inside or be immune to spells originating from outside the sphere.

4)  Ballroom Breaker  — An elegant ballroom mask that grants a bonus to Charisma (Persuasion) checks made between dusk and dawn, and can be used to magically create and wear a formal outfit at any time.

5)  Battlechef's Impeccable Apron  — An apron used by battlechefs that always remains impeccably clean. While wearing it, you can expend a charge as a reaction to reduce the amount of fire or acid damage you take from an effect.

6)  Tapestry Cloak  — A cloak that you can flourish while standing against a solid surface to transform yourself into a hung tapestry or laid out rug. You can choose the appearance of the tapestry or rug.

7)  Mourningsteel Breaker  — A kiteshield made from mourningsteel that can be used as a melee weapon. Once per day as an action, you can unleash a cone of necrotic energy. Creatures in the cone must make a Wisdom save or suffer a penalty to their AC.
