Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the 6 randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Octavius' Saber — A serpentine, serrated rapier for rogues that converts their Sneak Attack damage dice into d8s. When they roll Sneak Attack damage, a roll of 1 is treated as an 8.

2) Ironleaf Impaler — A thorned spear that, when it hits a creature when thrown, can expend a charge to summon a hailstorm of thorns above the target, damage the area, before causing the spear to fly back to your hand.

3) Death String — A withering instrument that hurts non-bards to play. You can expend a Bardic Inspiration die to give a Bardic Enervation die, which subtracts your die, rather than adds it, to a creature's roll of your choice. If the roll is reduced below 0, they take damage.

4) Obsidian Capsule — A small obsidian gem that you can crush or break against a solid surface when targeted with an attack or spell, causing you to vanish from your plane of existence and into a demiplane until the start of your next turn.

5) Sheta's Wholesome Cauldron — A sturdy iron cauldron that always makes food cooked in it taste delicious, regardless of the cook's skill. When a nonmagical item is placed inside the cauldron, it's repaired after 1 hour, as if by the mending spell.

6)  Doombloom — A black lily that seems to contain galaxies inside its petals. You can pluck one and use it to cast the scrying spell, using the flower as the object connected to the creature. If you attempt to use multiple doomblooms in a day, you take damage instead.

7) Brawl Stool — A magical bar stool that can be transformed with a command word into a buckler and club or back again. While sitting on the stool, you have advantage on saving throws against becoming poisoned.

Thanks to everyone who submitted item ideas and voted for them this week!

Keep on adventuring!
