Hey heroes! Let's make an item from a treant! There were simply too many good suggestions to limit it to 3 like I normally try to. Great job everyone!

These are loose item ideas using on the suggestions from yesterday's direction poll. Some of these may have had their ideas adjusted or combined with other like-minded suggestions. The final product may or may not use the original wording, so these are the core of the items' functionality and flavor.

Ideas

Treant's Fist — A set of large, wooden gauntlets that look like gnarled tree trunks attached to your arms. You gain a bonus to attack and damage rolls with them, and when you score a critical hit, the target is restrained by magical plants and takes damage while restrained.

Boots of the Woods — A pair of wooden boots from a treant that allow you to walk normally over difficult terrain from plants as if it were normal. You can root yourself and other creatures nearby, turning your speeds to 0 but being unpushable for the duration.

Forefinger of the Ancients — A wooden staff from an ancient treant's bough. It regains charges daily, or all of them if you're in a forest. You can use charges to cast spells like awaken, barkskin, entangle, and tree stride. You can also plant the staff to permanently turn it into a petrified tree in its location: using it for a spell like teleport via plants has a percent chance to not cost a spell slot.

Birchbier — A bubbling potion made from treant sap that's flavored with warm herbs and spices. Drinking it allows you to deal double damage against objects and structures for 1 hour. Higher rarities are alcoholic and grant you a bonus to AC for the duration, as well as taste better.

Scroll of the Arboreal Guardian — A powerful scroll in a case made of treantbark and beeswax. When you read the scroll, you gain 50 temporary hit points, have advantage against being moved against your will, cause the area around you to become difficult terrain to creatures you choose, and deal double damage against objects and structures for the duration. The scroll then turns into a single seed for a random, magical plant.

Arborguard — A wooden tower shield with a ring of trees emblazoned on its front. You can plant the shield in the ground to cause trees to grow around you in a circle, as if it were a wall. You can see from the trees' locations and make melee attacks from their spaces for the duration.

Staff of Giving — A lush wooden staff that bears fruit, as if by the goodberry spell, when you cast a spell of first level or higher from it. In addition, spaces you move through on your turn become difficult terrain until the start of your next turn for hostile creatures while in combat, and into fertile soil the following day.

Thanks for the suggestions! Let's make something fun this week!
