Let's make something from a purple worm!

These are loose item ideas using on the suggestions from yesterday's direction poll. Some of these have had their ideas adjusted or combined with other like-minded suggestions. The final product may or may not use the original wording, so these are the core of the items' functionality and flavor.

Ideas

Worm Gullet — A handled, leathery net lined with rows of grisly teeth. The net expands to cover any Medium or smaller creature hit with an attack by it within 5 feet of you, blinding and restraining them for the duration, as well as dealing steady acid damage to the creature inside as it's slowly digested. A creature can escape with a successful Strength check, and damaging the net enough destroys it.

Lance of Boring — A dangerous-looking uncommon lance with spiraling teeth and spines from a purple worm. It spins rapidly with each attack. It deals double damage to structures hit by it, and grants you a burrowing speed of 20 feet, or half as much through solid rock.

Tremor Spike — A spiked rod mounted with a pronged tripod at its end. You can place it pointing downward toward the ground to cause it to smash into the ground once every 6 seconds, creating a loud bang and sending a resounding tremor through the ground. It's audible out to 300 feet, or 1200 if a creature has tremorsense. While within 300 feet of the drumming rod, a creature's tremorsense is halved.
