Elite Workshop Day 2: Let's make something from a Kraken! (Patreon)

Hey heroes! What a close vote! Whew!

Let's make something to do with Krakens! Thanks for the suggestions this week!

These are loose item ideas using on the suggestions from yesterday's direction poll. The final product may or may not use the original wording, so these are the core of the items' functionality and flavor.

Ideas

Kraken Net — A net made from sickly, interwoven tentacles. A creature caught by this net takes damage at the start of each of its turns. The tentacles make it difficult to remove (and super gross to be caught by for sure).

Sling of the Sea Monster — A sling that lets you fire bolts of lightning instead of ammunition, and when you loose ammunition from it, they explode in a plume of dark ink.

Davy Jones' Key — A mighty trident that becomes stronger underwater. While holding it, you can point the trident at a point within range and open an eldritch portal. Kraken tentacles lash out from the portal, attacking and flinging any creature in the area.
