Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Aberrant Palate Parasite — A purple creature contained in a jar that binds to you when attuned, replacing your tongue. You can speak Deep Speech and it allows you to cast a variety of enchantment spells like enthrall or modify memory.

2) Hourglass of Frozen Thought — An hourglass recovered from a frozen plane with charges that can be used to attempt to temporarily freeze the thoughts of other creatures. Creatures that fail a Constitution saving throw are incapacitated and have 0 speed until their next turn.

3) Maestro Baton — A wand for bards that lets you summon a spectral instrumental weapon, add your bardic inspiration die to a missed ranged attack, or cast a spell as a bonus action instead of an action.

4) Bulette's Songstone — An ocarina carved from a gallstone of a bulette. It can be played to turn the ground into difficult terrain or flat ground, and it has charges to create a pothole or a more serious instantaneous pitfall.

5) Firewatch Bulwark — Adamantine vambraces with tower shield designs that give you resistance to fire damage and a bonus to AC if you're not holding a shield. You can manifest a fiery shield that provides full cover against fire damaging effects, or use it to cast the hellish rebuke spell.

6) Trickster's Quiver — This quiver can consume magical arrows to gain its own charges that can be used to give any arrow pulled from it an additional random property from an arrow it has previously consumed.

7) Potentate's Chess Set — A lavish chess set that provides grows in power the more pieces you collect, allowing you to cast a wide variety of spells, including dominate person, commune, tiny hut, antilife shell, and fly.
