Reminder, you are playing developer builds! (Patreon)

The intent of the Patreon was never to give customer facing builds. It was to give a behind scenes look into a game being actively developed. Before the Patreon "blew up" you were able to test Barnaby's chase before it had art or quality of life features.

We have repeat reports that the settings menu can cause the screen to lock, this issue has been known for a while. We do not fix it (currently) for the following reason:

It is important for us to follow our project plan to ensure we are not blocking other developers. I am currently working alongside our (one) programmer to finish the level design. If he stops to take 2 weeks to recreate and rework the settings menu, I am without a partner to finish the level design, and development for level design will come to a stand still. As long as these bugs are standalone and not blocking our progress, we will leave it be. I understand it can be a tad frustrating to have bugs like this, but I really can't push out our release date.

Please treat playing demos as a sneak peak behind the curtain rather than an actual final product. We do not want to create extra work and delay the release of the game for Patreon content. I worry a misconception was created when Barnaby's demo released on here. It was part of gamescom and was polished as a small vertical slice for use in expos. Future builds here will not have that level of polish when they are first released here.

Although bug reports are appreciated, we are hiring a full QA team at the end of development for a couple of months to focus on fixing bugs. We also fix bugs as we see fit as we develop depending on the severity.

The other option is we do wait for builds to be more polished, but then you do miss out on the behind the scenes, and builds will be less frequent
