Patreon Taxes changes (Patreon)

Hey there, friends. You may have heard that Patreon is going to start collecting sales tax on some pledges. I know that most of you are here because you support what I do and want me to keep it up - and I write as much as I do because of people like you! I mean that literally; without you patrons, I would write half or less of what I've written in the past few years.

Because a high percentage of your pledges are to provide me general support, your sales tax here should be very small, possibly nothing at all. For example: I estimate the worst case scenario for someone in the US pledging at $10 would be about 33 cents of tax. Most would see 25 cents or less.

We're all dealing with a rocky road right now. There's still a pandemic going on, which has now taken a back seat to a huge national movement... Honestly, it's all really wearing on me. That said, I don't want to give up. Things are tough, but I'm not going anywhere, and I hope you aren't either. Thank you for being a part of my writing world. <3
