Heya there ^_^

Today I finally had a mostly free afternoon! I was preparing to advance in some of the stuff I want to have finished by the end of the month, but...

There was something I could not get out of my head.

I didn't like the end result of my last Dawn drawing.

Everything was fine enough, though. I liked the ropework, I liked the anatomy, I liked the scenario, I liked the damsels... But still, something felt odd. Like, it wasn't the result I expected. I felt like I had done something wrong, that I had failed y'all and, mainly, I had failed myself.

I'm being overly dramatic haha, but I really felt a little bit upset today.

So I went and did something crazy... I colored the piece.

I must apologize for that, since I used this precious afternoon to color this piece instead of doing the other stuff  I still have to do xD

But... everything fell into place!

I wanted to reference an episode from the pokémon anime in which Dawn and May shared the screen (in their lovely pajamas. Yeah, I'm a BIG pajama lover).

I needed to add the colors so the scenario could live up to what was in my head. It was necessary.

I love black and white and always will. It is still my main form of expression, the one in which I think I've developed myself as an artist the most, along with all my instincts. But still, I recognize its limits.

The colors made this pic better. It might not happen the same with all my other pics, but I gotta admit: colors... They add something very attractive.

I'm not a good colorist. The best I can hope for is what you can see (for now, only the 2nd and 3rd tier members will have full access to this drawing in their dropbox... The 1st tier members will be granted access when the preview of the pic is uploaded to social media ^_^).

As I was saying, the colors are flat, and there are not flashy effects. I don't know how to do them, and I don't have the time to learn it.

However, even if it's just a flat coloring style, I think it works.

What do you guys think?

Do you want me to color my stuff, even if the coloring itself isn't particularly special?

I wouldn't color any of my old pieces (they were made for the black and white textures and changing that would be too time-consuming), but I could maybe color most (if not all) of my drawings from now on...

Let me know your thoughts ^_^
