Relatively new to this, but has it ever been explained what the mini-map is? Is it just a narrative/metagame plot device, some sort of tech that the agents have, or is it just in the character's "mind's eye"? I ask because I just realized what has been bugging me about this "room": the mini-map shows us more pathways than the character can see, but nothing else. I think some, including myself, have been worrying about the symmetry the map suggests, and whether that might mean there are more sentinels ahead. The room is not actually symmetrical (and is the map even complete?), but it is close enough to set off the next level of paranoia. That then leads down the rabbit hole of what if they are already on the move, and we still don't know if they react to seeing/hearing us, our proximity, or our direction, is there an actual creature within them, do they extend/retract or only move forward...and you can hopefully see that this way leads to madness. :P

Well welcome fresh recruit. The map function was introduced after we left the first room we woke up at. The map is generated by the agent's suits. Exactly how they see it is unknown.
