'At that moment you decide to push the button.  Nothing happens immediately.  The being nearly reaches you but turns down the other hall.  The discharge field activates a moment later and now cages you.  You remain where you are in hope you could escape if the field de-activates.  But it only dissipates once your pursuer completed its trip.

After crashing into you it shifts its form to restrain you.   Your consciousness is able to resist but you feel too weak to regain any freedom.  You remain restrained for many long minutes.  Eventually the beings unlock the door you came in through.  Something approaches and begins to cover the rest of your body before you black out.'
