Hello Supporters!

Today I have an early access video in which I’m showing how to rig a pair of boots in Daz Studio. I got these from a pack of OBJs on Artstation by Milan Kambari, and Transfer Utility can handle this really well. All I had to do was to move the shoe into position in Blender, using G9 as a reference figure, then apply a mirror modifier to get the second shoe to match. Although this leaves a bit of poke through underneath the sole, I’ll show you a way to hide the foot geometry when the shoes are fitted.

This  was the last video I recorded before tearing down my old studio and  moving to the new place. I had planned for the next video to be about  saving content to the library, but it hadn’t occurred to me that I  didn’t have textures or discussed full body fit morphs or adjustment  morphs, so I might do that before we get to the saving part. There are  so many pitfalls in the clothing creation process it’s crazy!

I’ve  started drip-feeding the series publicly on YouTube now, with the  English versions being released two episodes a week, while the German  ones are coming out one every day.

And speaking of clothing, I  have a few products I want make for the Daz store this year, and it  occurred to me that I might do this live on Twitch two days a week.  Having a schedule and being accountable will help me carve out some time  and do this, rather than put it on the “let’s do this sometime in the  future” pile. As soon as my setup is operational again, I’ll hammer out  some time and show that channel some love. It’ll likely be Tuesdays and  Thursdays around 5pm EST, but if it changes I’ll let you know.

I have to go unpack some more boxes now. Have a great week!
