I've spent some time yesterday to work on the all important intro and  outro for the Daz Studio Masterclass. I tend to obsess about details  that don't quite flow as well as they should, and as a result spend far  too much time on tiny edits.

In particular, I wanted to make sure  the intro is good enough as a showcase/trailer, as well as first  episode to the whole series. First I took some time writing a script.  That's a novelty for me as I usually just start talking, perhaps go for a  second take and fix the rest in editing. I felt a script was important  because I didn't want to forget what I wanted to show visually.

Once  the recording was done, I filled in some high-speed footage to give an  impression of the important bits the series has to offer. Sadly the data  rate is so high that footage at 5000% can't easily be previewed, so I  had to render out about 10 versions to see this properly and make small  edits until it flowed as well as it does. I could keep polishing this,  but I really don't want to hold up the series any longer. It's been 5  months of hard work, and I want to release it into the world as soon as  possible.

I followed the same pattern for the outro, which I've added to the Early Access playlist (password is "Filament"). The intro won't be part of the same link (thanks, Vimeo for being  difficult!), but I'll release it on YouTube with an "available now"  graphic at the end and a purchase link when it's live on the Daz Store.

Enjoy, and perhaps I'll see you this weekend at 10am EST for potentially two 3D Shenanigans streams. 😃
