And sayaka is finally gone :D (ignore this i had to get it out of my system) After all these years of watching the show i still can't decide who my favorite character is between Homura and Kyubey.

Madoka magica is my number 1 anime followed by oshi no ko and mushoku tensei lol So it is believed that the universe has finite energy (or at least useful engergy). One theory how the universe will is called Heat Death/the big freeze(very cool and I recommend watching youtube videos on it). Basically when there isn't enough material for stars form everything will slowly go cold and dark. Kyubey didn't get any energy from Kyouko because she didnt turn into a witch. As far as the soul gems, there isn't any info about them being able to take over another body so I believe is connected to your original, tho if it was destroyed your soul gem might just reconstruct it.(yep if mami's soul gem wasnt in her hair she would have regrown her head how scary is that) Also "If you feel like sacrificing yourself for the universe, i'll be waiting." Is such a fucking line. Also you're pretty close on the lyrics but more will make sense next episode. But this episode always makes me cry... Also some fun word play. Incubator - cuba - kyubey. Kyubey's name is just the middle part of his actual name! So now we know that Kyubey is out fighting the good fight to save the universe. An alien brain that uses cold logic. Something that we can't stand and now we know he believes in utilitarianism. I mean what are the lives of a few people to the lives of the trillions of trillions in the galaxy. What is one planet to the trillions in the galaxy. Now we see that Kyouko kind of had a thing(if a small one and one sided, that is in the air). When she was talking to Madoka about trying to save Sayaka there was two wind chimes, a unicorn(which can represent spear users) and a mermaid. These are believed to represent the grim brother's tales of the little mermaid and the last unicorn. The little mermaid giving up her voice to try and be with a human that she loves. Only to lose him to someone else so she smashes herself on rocks till she becomes sea foam. Sayaka's witch form even has a mermaid tail. A unicorn finds out humans are venturing into his forest so he runs and tells all his friends to hide because they are dangerous but they scoff at him. Once he comes out of hiding he finds that all the other unicorns was killed by the humans and he jumps of a cliff rather than being alone. Also fun fact it is canon that Kyouko can't swim. It was extra side content but it brings more meaning to the end screen of Kyouko jumping into water to save Sayaka. Fun fact! Oktavia(sayaka's witch) is deaf! So even if their plan was possible, it wouldn't have worked. We can also see that their desires can affect their magic and their witch forms. When Sayaka made her wish, it was with a desire to be with Kyouske. This reflected in her magic taking on a music theme (seen when she heals) and when she turns into a witch all of her familiars are kyouskes giving her their undivided attention. Too bad she can't hear them. And Mami's magic wasn't to create guns. Her desire was to escape her fate so she got magic ribbons. She could just make stuff with her ribbons (like muskets because they are easier to figure out than SMGs). And she tied Homura up with a red ribbon, aka the red ribbon/string of fate. The anime really doesn't go into Mami's ribbons

The fact that Octavia was deaf is so cruel... and the one sided love of Kyoko's is oh so sad, but goddamn was it a beautiful scene. Also you have a mighty interesting top 3 list, Oshi no Ko is for sure in my top 10 so I can't argue there! Of course thanks for the information!
