Fightful has learned that WWE SVP of Talent Operations & Strategy James Kimball is no longer with the company.

We're told it was an HR violation terminated immediately last week.

Kimball had been with the company for two years, working on the NIL program, among other things. He'd also spent ten years with UFC

UPDATE:

In a follow up on this story, it was noted to us that "HR violation" is fairly broad and could mean that no one else was directly affected, however that wasn't confirmed to us beyond noting that it could mean a variety of things.

There were several WWE wrestlers, and actually UFC fighters who contacted Fightful and noted that they were surprised by the move. Kimball was well known in UFC circles for his decade of work, but one wrestler also stated that Kimball at one time looked to be a major name associated with WWE for years, if not decades to come.

One talent said that they were "shocked" that Kimball was out, while several others inquired about the details behind the move. We've heard that Kimball had worked closely with Triple H during his run, and actually spoke with free agent talent fairly recently about possibly coming in to the company. For those asking, this wasn't a case of Vince McMahon making a firing upon his return to the company.

HR Violation? Something doesn’t sound right

I mean everything isn’t a conspiracy. If he was informed about the rules and violated it….pink slip. It happens often.

Yea not all surprised by this. Probably happens more than u think. could be computer/female related.

An HR violation can be something as simple as using a corporate email for non work related correspondences.

Him getting shit canned immediately kinda goes to show it was more severe than a simple email usage issue no?

If only they could get Vince on an HR violation.

Could this be something regarding contract tampering? A fall guy for the attempted raiding of talent that was contracted elsewhere?

he would just change the rules or reinstate himself

David Feig

I guess, in a sense, he already was caught-but the owner/boss can re-write the rules to reinstate himself. Only way Vince would go is if criminal charges came and stuck, and even then....who knows?

I was gonna say the company came a long way since firing Del Rio instead of the racist that antagonized him, but the update just leaves more questions than answers.

Maybe but not necessarily. I’ve had people fired from my job immediately just because they used their work computer to buy tickets on Ticketmaster
