New Update
TugSpect 1.0.1
- When Automation effects were applied to the image, some parameters couldn't be updated; this has been fixed.
- Glitches were occurring at run-time when transforming or changing effect parameters on the image; these have been fixed.
- A Shift knob has been added, allowing for a shift within the selected range without altering the interval. Images
- Dragged and Dropped are now copied to the folder where the plugin is located if the project is saved. This makes the plugin more portable.
- Upon Drag and Drop, the user is prompted with the option to 'initiate all' or 'continue'.
- Two knobs named SmVer and SmHor have been added. SmHor creates horizontal blur on the original image (X axis), while SmVer (Y Axis) applies smoothing in the vertical direction of the image (not visible in the image but apparent in the spectrum; this is because Image effects consume a lot of CPU time).
- 3 different modes in visualization by double clicking on the Spectrum window
!!!! Warning kown Issue. !!!!!! : AU (component) , TugSpect does not work with Logic or Garageband (I only tested it with garageband. Image drawing and drag and drop does'nt work) even that AU version works with Ableton, FL Studio , AudioPluginHost. I am currently investigating the cause of this.
TugSpect
TugSpect : an experimental fx vst3 plugin that takes sound manipulation by allowing to scan an image and dynamically shape the incoming audio of a track using the pixel values : any image, from abstract art to your own photographs , and use it as a template for sound transformation. You can draw basic shapes like elipses rectangles and lines. It employs real-time Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) filtering to analyze the incoming audio and apply spectral processing that mirrors the pixel values in the image.
*Shape drawing, lines, ellipses, rectangles
*rotation, zoom in/out, left/right
*image contrast , black and white
*Synchronization
Detailed explanation :
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please Read
Some Mac users mention that due to Catalina(also Big Sure and Monterey) security issue, Ableton and similar DAWs do not recognize 2RuleSynth . DAW users (including Ableton) can bypass security steps if they trust me as a developer .
a)Before copying TugMultiEffect to vst3 folder, open Ableton and do "Plugin Rescan."
b) after Rescan is finished, copy TugMultiEffect to the corresponding vst3 folder.
c) Open the terminal(MAC) window and go to the vst3 folder and type "sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine TugMultiEffect.vst3" and enter. (it can ask your password of your macos screen)
d) Do again Rescan on Ableton.
I did all steps in order and it worked, I hope it works for you too.
