So i got another email from Pixiv reiterating that i need to censor my art. It's become clear that simply pixilating the first image is'nt enough now. I'm guess i've become to well known on Pixiv to escape scrutiny 🤨. So i spent today going through all the flagged art, replacing the uncensored versions with links to Baraag.net, a tactic i got banned for using at Eka Portal.

I hope this will be allowed, seeing as it forces everyone to look at advertising before clicking through to view the art at Baraag. My synical side wonders if this is the real motive behind the censorship 🥸. All the category selecting, flagging art R-18G, containing minors, violence... all pointless 🤣.

With luck i've appeased the Pixiv Gods, and will wait to see if i get any more requests to censor my work on there. 🤞

Aw man... and yet, I'll bet there's plenty of pictures of nude girls and ladies.

Therein lies the problem of using Pixiv, the need to censor artwork. I guess the only advantage of Pixiv/Fanbox is that it is a relative easy way for artists to monetise their work which is really great. I follow and subscribe several great artists I like on Fanbox, but to see their artwork one always has to go to an external link. I reckon if there was an alternative to Pixiv/Fanbox many artists would flock to it.

It's unfortunate that you have to censor your art, but it's Japanese law unfortunately. It seems that Pixiv doesn't have the manpower to get everyone to comply, but they've been giving notices/warnings at a steady rate. I've seen a few people to whom I've subbed start posting masked links using masklink.boniatillo.com to hide their uncensored work

It’s a victim of it’s own success. Pixiv seems to own a lot of different services now, pixiv, clipstudio, fanbox and booth. Ill check out the masked link thing.
